The Torpedo-boat T-36

Torpedo-boat T-36

Gustloff's only escort ship was the torpedo-boat "Löwe". As soon as the Gustloff was hit by the torpedoes, the crew of the Löwe started to rescue the survivors. They saved 472 people.

The T-36, was the escort ship of the Hipper. The Hipper which had 1500 refugees aboard, tried to rescue, but had to leave the scene because of the Russian subs, but the T-36 stayed there and saved 564 lives.

Note: More information on the Goya will be uploaded soon.
