To understand Malcom Jefferson Molar jr, one has to first set aside any preconceived notion one might have about what constitutes a normal, well-balanced person. Malcom Jefferson Molar jr, was discovered by John in a small log cabin, some eight km inland from a small bay called Ice Bay near the head of Toba Inlet in Desolation Sound. Details of this particular voyage are yet to be published but suffice to say Molar was one happy puppy when, out of the clearing, he saw John emerge , running for his life with 'George', a mean-looking black bear, close behind.
